Ever considered building your own home or simply owning your own wood. It is becoming increasingly more common and even fashionable to build your own home (see below). But did you know you can also buy your own wood. From as little as £20,000 for around 5 acres you can own your own corner of the country. The catch however is that you will typically not be allowed ot build on this wood land as it is protected but you may well be able to gain sporting rights or other commercial uses if you fancy running some activities within the woods. Alternatively you can turn your hand to farming the land for wood. Perhaps you would just like to keep it as yours, something for the grandchildren perhaps!
